The TFS story is one of vision, community and philanthropy. TFS is a leading educational institution today because it was founded on the dream of what a school could be in a bilingual nation such as Canada, and it was supported by parents and people who believed in that dream. Together, we formed a community that, to this day, is committed to helping ensure our students receive a world-class educational experience. This past spring, we welcomed the Class of 2019 to the TFS Alumni Association. All 66 members were Ontario Scholars, with 79% having achieved an average above 90%. Eighty-nine percent of the class achieved a bilingual IB diploma and 42% of the class also achieved the advanced bilingual diploma. Fourteen Senior School students were accepted into the Canadian Independent School Music Festival and had the opportunity to perform at Roy Thomson Hall in front of an audience of 2,000. Our DECA club placed second out of 171 world teams. We had 90-plus athletic teams and won 15 championships during the past school year. There is so much to be proud of. With the transition of Chairs, we look forward to collaborating to ensure that the Board of Directors will continue to focus on effective governance. We will also continue our efforts to execute on the initial phase of improvements to our facilities as described in the campus master plan, and work closely with the TFS Foundation to help strengthen our culture of philanthropy and ultimately raise the funds needed to support our ambitions. As we stride towards the next chapter in our school's history, we are deeply aware that we are standing on the shoulders of giants — the TFS community that came before us. We extend our gratitude to TFS' longest-serving Chair of the Board of Directors, Mitch Frazer, whose five years of exceptional leadership have contributed to the school's evolution. We thank the TFS Board of Directors and TFS Foundation Board and their sub-committees for their dedication and service, as well as our entire community for its unwavering support, year after year.
