Future Plans
WITH STELLAR ACADEMICS, Rebecca garnered
offers from numerous universities, including: Ryerson
for biomedical engineering; Carleton for biomedical
and mechanical engineering; Queen's University and
the University of British Columbia for engineering;
McMaster University for its general engineering
co-op program; University of Toronto and Western
University for mechanical engineering; and
McGill University for civil engineering, mechanical
engineering and business management.
Rebecca will study engineering at the University
of British Columbia and plans to specialize in
biomedical engineering. Inspired by the latest
designs in wheelchair and prosthetic technology
she saw at Holland Bloorview, Rebecca would like
to see high-tech biomedical and biomechanical
equipment become more accessible to more
children. With that vision in mind, she is also
considering a minor in neuroscience and business.
