What Gener One might think that putting alumni from our first graduating class in 1975 with alumni (and alumni-to-be!) spanning more than 30 years would be a recipe for a real generation gap. It turns out that our alumni have a lot in common, especially when it comes to reflections on their alma mater. Here are some highlights from their discussions. Chantal Malcolm Class of 1997, Current teacher at TFS How has your TFS education impacted your life? The academic demands give you a strong work ethic. Your favourite French expression? The IB has allowed me to pursue my interests 18 TFS - Canada's International School in sciences while discovering languages and humanities. Your advice for younger TFS students? It will all be worth it in the end. David Giles Class of 1975 Describe the moment you realized you were bilingual. It was in Grade 1, when I started dreaming in French. How has your TFS education impacted your life? It taught me the value and importance of hard work to achieving success. Sal Patel Class of 2004 How has your TFS education impacted your life? It has given me a really rich and diverse foundation in a variety of topics. As someone in the financial services industry, I continue to have a huge interest in the arts. I can switch between French and English with ease across all subjects.
