Life at TFS ADAM entered TFS in Level IV when his family moved to Toronto from Texas, where he had been attending a French international school. Adam immediately found a home at TFS, responding positively to the school's interdisciplinary approach to learning and the spirit of independence the school encourages. A keen triathlete, Adam was thrilled to find out that his former physical education teacher in Dallas had moved not only to Canada, but also to TFS. As national ambassador for the French Youth Forum, Adam spent a week at McGill University in 2018, learning about bilingualism in Canada. Inspired by what he had learned, he brought his enthusiasm back to TFS and founded the TFS French Club to discuss bilingualism in a casual, non-academic format. With an interest in environmental issues and an eye on a career in sustainable architecture, Adam joined the Second Harvest Society, where he was able to explore issues such as food waste and recycling. Adam enjoyed participating in Vernissage, the school's famed IB art show, exhibiting his two-year collection of architectural sketches, drawings and building models, which he would later use in his university applications. For his long-term service project, Adam volunteered with the Salvation Army. OPEN-MINDED DISCERNER IMAGINATIVE ENVIRONMENTALIST CITIZEN "The entire staff at TFS — the principals, teachers, supervisors and guidance counsellors — all make an effort to genuinely connect with students and make us feel comfortable."
