Life at TFS RACHEL entered Pre-Kindergarten at the West Campus after moving from Luxembourg, where her siblings had attended an international school. Her parents appreciated TFS' diversity and international perspective, as well as Mississauga's small campus, so they enrolled all three children. Multi-talented and highly independent, Rachel participated fully in all aspects of school life. She learned to play the French horn and was a member of the Senior Wind Ensemble from Level I to Level IV, travelling to Ottawa and Italy with the band and twice selected to participate in the Conference of Independent Schools Music Festival. A Peer Mentor Club member from Level III, Rachel sought to be more involved and became its Head in Level V. She played on the soccer team in Levels II and III, and in Level IV joined the Right to Play Society. Always open to growth and challenge, Rachel spent many summers in the Canadian wilderness, including all-female expeditions down the Albany River in northwestern Ontario, another into Labrador, and most recently a daunting seven-week trip canoeing through northern Quebec to Hudson Bay with Keewaydin Camp. For her long-term service project, Rachel volunteered at the Regent Park School of Music teaching piano to beginners. "At TFS, we are taught how to learn and how to reflect rather than to memorize facts." DYNAMIC THINKER CHALLENGE SEEKER CITIZEN
