23 "TFS is tough, but in a good way. It definitely prepares you for whatever you want to do. For me, those were the hardest years of school." John has always exemplified TFS values. After graduating from the school, he went on to do a dual degree at Sciences Po in the south of France and Columbia University in New York City. While at Sciences Po, he studied Middle Eastern Studies and Arabic, and at Columbia he majored in finance and economics. John demonstrated interest in the world around him from a very young age, and during his time at TFS he tried almost every activity the school had to offer. Classics was his passion in Levels IV and V, and he was a gold medal and Summa Cum Laude certificate recipient on the prestigious National Latin Exam. Throughout his challenging undergraduate career, John was grateful for the many skills he had learned at TFS. He explained how "being fluent in French really opened doors for me and helped me in applying to my program." He also explained the expectations of the rigorous French degree. In order to succeed, you need to be extremely independent and organized, two attributes that he believes TFS nurtures. » En 2015, Alexi a été classé deuxième joueur compétitif de squash au Canada Alexi Gosset '15 John Vincent '15 he learned that, "if you go to school in Canada or the US, you're a student, so the expectations are different; but if you go to school in France, your professors and the school's administration view your studies as your job." In his professional career, John has worked as a trading intern in New York City and financial analyst in Toronto. Currently, John manages the marketing fund for Tim Hortons Canada under the umbrella of Restaurant Brands International. RBI is one of the world's largest fast food businesses and also owns the Popeyes and Burger King brands. In his role, John relies on his education every day. "I know my interests have changed, but I still apply what I learned in school. It's amazing to see the growth of fast food in the Middle East, and we actually have a few Tim Hortons locations in the Gulf that are very popular," he notes. As an alumnus, John continues to give back to his alma mater. He has given presentations at TFS, teaching students how to succeed in the IB. His message to students is always that opportunity can come in all forms and being prepared can help you recognize it. et a participé à plusieurs compétitions internationales : des opportunités qui lui ont permis d'utiliser le français et l'espagnol à l'échelle internationale.
