Parents' Handbook 2020– 2021 31 To ensure both fairness and the most accessible participation for TFS students, TFS will continue to review its rules governing team membership and participation annually. Our commitment policy is available to parents and athletes in the online consent form. ATHLETIC PARTICIPATION FEES A cost associated with participation on each team will be administered. This fee includes a nominal uniform rental fee, bus travel to away games, facilities rental, the cost of the season's referees, the final day of a tournament's meal and EMT/first responder staff (onsite for competitive games), when necessary. LUNCH PROGRAMS For at least the first term of the 2020-2021 school year, the hot lunch program will only be available for Jardin d'éveil and PK students. Parents of Jardin d'éveil and PK students must register via the Parent Portal, and ensure that all allergies are listed in the medical information form. Lunches can be selected for the entire term; payment is made via the student account. For students in all other grades, parents are asked to pack a nut-free lunch, snacks and a drink that can be consumed during Homeroom and lunch. All wrappers and containers must be taken home for cleaning and disposal. SENIOR SCHOOL La Terrasse will have an altered schedule for 2020- 2021, and the PA Pizza Lunches will not take place during the fall of 2020. Parents are asked to provide a nut-free lunch, snacks and a drink. Please read the principal's communiqués for more information. La Terrasse is a full-service cafeteria managed by Chartwells Food Services, which offers a variety of hot and cold healthy meal options including salads, premium deli sandwiches and hot entrées. The four-week rotating menus are posted on the Senior School branch website, under Lunch, and are revised every term. Students can charge food purchases to their accounts using their ID card (not available until November 2020 at minimum). Parents can set limits on this card if they so choose. Parents can view and download their child's cafeteria purchases by month by logging onto the Parent Portal > Parent Profile and viewing the TFS Shop and La Terrasse Accounts tab. This information is only available during the current school year. LOCKERS JUNIOR SCHOOL Lockers are issued to students in Grades 2 to 5. They are not to be locked. WEST CAMPUS Lockers are available for Grade 2-7 students. From Grades 2-5, they are not to be locked. In Grades 6 and 7, students who provide their own locks must give the combination to the Branch Administrator, since the school must have access to all lockers in an emergency. SENIOR SCHOOL School lockers will not be used for 2020-2021. LOST AND FOUND Please label your children's uniforms and other belongings, as lost and found boxes are not available this year. STUDENT ID CARDS Replacement cards are issued at the Attendance Office upon request. Student's accounts will be charged $20 for a replacement card, once processed. Temporary cards are provided, but tracked and habitual requests for temporary cards will be subject to review.
