40 Parents' Handbook 2020– 2021 Screening will not take place during fall 2020; as soon as volunteering on campus is possible, the instructions for screening will be shared. Completing the screening includes three steps: annually signing and submitting the online offence declaration form to the branch administrator; every five years submitting a Vulnerable Sector Screening form to Toronto Police Services or the appropriate jurisdictional service; and providing the processed form to your branch. Please note that all teachers, educators and administrative staff hired by TFS undergo Vulnerable Sector Screening as a condition of their employment, and every five years thereafter. If you have any questions and/or concerns regarding the Vulnerable Sector Policy, please contact your branch principal. LANGUAGE POLICY The Language Policy outlines the goals for language teaching and learning at TFS. It is also a statement of action for achieving and evaluating these goals. Our policy is consistent with the principles and practices of the International Baccalaureate, and with recent research in language acquisition and brain development.
