WE ARE PROUD TO SAY THAT OUR TFS COMMUNITY UNITED AND ADAPTED Last spring, COVID-19 thrust the world into uncertainty, forcing our school to adjust to rapidly evolving circumstances. We are proud to say that our TFS community united and adapted admirably. The pandemic did not dampen our spirits, nor did it deflect us from our mission to provide a bilingual international education characterized by academic rigour and intellectual depth in all areas of study, so that our students can aspire to the acquisition of knowledge and skills necessary to be able to contribute positively to the progress of humankind. TFS was proactively developing a distance learning model when the lockdown began, so we intensified our efforts to ensure that we could deliver exceptional online teaching and learning with as much normalcy as was attainable. During the summer, the leadership team worked non- stop to develop the safest possible plan for a September return to class. We are pleased that the systems and protocols put in place are working, whether students have been learning on campus or online. One could describe what we have lived through as a positive struggle, in the sense that we have managed to find the best achievable solutions under difficult circumstances. Our community met, and continues to meet, the challenge head-on. For our teachers, it has been a time of creativity and innovation, so that no matter whether instructing our learners online or in-person, all teaching is effective and responsive. For our students, it was an opportunity to experience real-world problem solving. For our parents, you partnered with us by maintaining an academic environment and supporting your children in their online classroom. We thank you for your tremendous commitment. Looking back, we are grateful to our TFS families, who steadfastly supported our school's initiatives throughout the pandemic. Your dedication is evident in your undiminished philanthropic spirit, turning an uncertain year into a banner one for fundraising at TFS. We thank you most sincerely for your generosity throughout the 2019-2020 school year. Looking ahead, despite the remaining challenges, the vaccination campaign is showing us a clearer horizon. In the year ahead, our school's master campus plan will continue to be a priority, as it is a key part of the exciting long-term vision of TFS. We look forward to our continued partnership with the Foundation and with you, our TFS family, as we strive to make that vision a reality. Au printemps dernier, la COVID-19 a plongé le monde dans l'incertitude, forçant notre école à s'ajuster à des circonstances en constante évolution. Nous pouvons affirmer non sans contentement que la communauté TFS est restée unie et a fait preuve d'une formidable capacité d'adaptation. La pandémie ne nous a ni démotivés ni détournés de la mission qui nous anime : proposer une éducation bilingue et internationale caractérisée par l'exigence académique et la profondeur intellectuelle dans tous les domaines d'études, et ce pour que les élèves puissent acquérir les savoirs et les compétences nécessaires afin de contribuer au progrès du monde. Nous avons dès lors redoublé d'efforts pour garantir un enseignement en ligne de qualité exceptionnelle dans les conditions les plus régulières possibles. Au cours de l'été, l'équipe de direction a travaillé sans relâche pour mettre au point le plan de réouverture le plus sûr qui soit pour la rentrée de septembre.
