ENTRE NOUS Remembrance Day Assembly at La p'tite école Remembrance Day is honoured at all branches of TFS with one of the most solemn assemblies of the year. Students at La p'tite école wore their first dress and poppy pins to pay tribute to all of the brave individuals who fought on the battlefields, so that today we can live in peace. Through stories of courage and heroism, both current and historical, students had the opportunity to reflect on the meaning of peace. It is always incredible to see that they all know and respect the significance of the poppy at such a young age. Embracing Turkish Culture Turkey, a country rich in history and culture, was the focus of November's international week. The discovery of traditional Turkish art and landscapes, such as the Mediterranean Sea, music and delicious foods, including loukoum, made it possible for students of La p'tite école and Junior School to transport themselves to this wonderful land and receive a small taste of its magnificent culture and traditions. TFS' Truth and Reconciliation Week Sparks Reflection and Awareness The establishment of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on September 30 allowed us to mark its first occasion by deepening our understanding and reflecting on the history of colonization and its far- reaching consequences. It also gave us the opportunity to recognize the incredible contributions of Indigenous peoples. Students from all branches attended an assembly, followed by important conversations on cultural identities and living together equally, with respect. Students at the Junior School journeyed into the ravine to learn more about Indigenous traditions, including playing the game of Tabahon. 06
