18 Parents' Handbook 2022– 2023 discussed and followed, when appropriate, by classroom observation and the implementation of an individualized learning plan; parents are involved throughout the process. In some cases testing is recommended and the school can provide some diagnostic assessments as well as pre-screening. If an external assessment is recommended, TFS helps parents by providing a list of specialists and their areas of expertise. Junior School The Junior School Learning Forum team includes two resource teachers, a social skills specialist and a guidance counsellor. Resource teachers are scheduled in class and provide whole class, small group and individual support. Regularly scheduled guidance classes ensure that all students are given instruction on social and life skills, problem-solving and strategies for well-being including mindfulness and meditation. Parents can contact their child's homeroom teacher to discuss support and to connect to the Learning Forum team as needed.
