TFS 23
After 24 years at 1293 Meredith
Avenue, the school buys the
building from the City of
Mississauga. Renovations and
expansions take place, supported
by fundraising events.
Where are La Terrasse, the
Senior School gym, the pool
and all of the other classrooms
in this aerial shot from 2001?
They did not yet exist!
The Master Site project would
add no less than 100,000
square feet to our school.
Toronto French School is
renamed TFS – Canada's
International School, to better
reflect the school's program
and global community.
In September 1962, our co-founders
Harry and Anna Por Giles welcomed
a handful of children into their home
as the first students of Canada's
foremost bilingual school, named
Toronto French School.
Today, TFS has grown to become Canada's International
School and continues to offer an exceptional education
to over 1,500 students at its Toronto and Mississauga
campuses, shaping young learners into bilingual
citizens who are empowered to make a positive impact
on the world. Itʼs time to explore TFS' incredible story!
