6 Parents' Handbook 2024– 2025 PARENTS' ASSOCIATION All TFS parents are members of the TFS Parents' Association (PA). Our mission is to engage and strengthen the community for the benefit of all the students. We accomplish this through sponsoring school events and through fundraising to fulfill the requests of the TFS administration for student resources that offer the greatest immediate impact. Since 2016, the PA has donated over $1.5 million to the TFS Foundation and the Principals' Wish Lists. The Parents' Association Committee (PAC) is the elected, decision-making body of the PA. It comprises voting members from the following groups: - Executive Committee, - Branch Teams (representatives from La P'tite École, Junior School, Senior School and West Campus), and - Standing Committee Coordinators. Fundraising activities, led by the Standing Committees, are events which bring our community together, and enable the PA to make significant financial contributions to the school. Kermesse (Fun Fair), Marché d'hiver (a winter market), pizza lunches, Spirit of Spring and Birthday Book Club are just some of our cherished annual traditions. Our Branch Team Representatives meet monthly with their respective administration to support branch events and activities. Class Representatives, from Jardin d'éveil to Grade 7, assist the classroom teacher with a variety of requests, ranging from coordinating celebrations to recruiting class parents for special events. As a PA member, there are many ways to get involved: - Participate in a monthly PAC meeting - Attend a PA-sponsored event such as a Principal's Breakfast or Principal's Apéritif - Volunteer for a wide variety of events and activities Are you thinking of volunteering? We'd love to hear from you! Tell us about your availability and interests by emailing volunteers@tfs.ca. Volunteers are the heart of the PA - with your support, anything is possible! Become a class representative for this academic year 2024-2025. If you are interested in becoming a class representative for your child's class, please register HERE. Parent Information
