TFS 61 Lara Brady '01 Lara Brady '01 is back on campus, this time as a parent; her son Theo joined TFS this past September. Beyond letting his curiosity and love of learning soar, Lara hopes her son is lucky enough to make lifelong friends during his TFS journey, just like his mom. Growing up Lara's parents, who escaped dictatorships, always impressed upon her the importance of a good education and the fact that it can never be taken from you. She can't imagine a better gift to pass on. Theo, tu es capable de tout ! Jessica Thalmann '06 Catch Jessica Thalmann's public mural on display at Dupont and Shaw, in Toronto. Her mural was created in partnership with STEPS Public Art as part of Tridel's new residential development at the intersection. A commissioned permanent public artwork will also be on display at a new, flagship BMO branch, on the site of the former Honest Ed's at Bathurst and Bloor. The mural, celebrating the history of the Annex and Koreatown, will be installed and open to the public in late fall 2023. Finally, Jessica was married to her partner David in October. Rebecca Penturn '06 Rebecca Penturn is delighted to share that her son, Noah, has followed in her and her parents' footsteps by attending TFS. Rebecca's mother Kathleen is a grad from the Class of 1977, and her father James attended from 1963 to 1973. This makes Noah the first third- generation student at TFS! Yasmin Moavenian Keon '02 Yasmin Moavenian Keon and her husband Jayson are proud to share that they are first-time parents to their beautiful daughter Elara, born June 15, 2023. Yasmin is already reading to baby Elara in French and hopes that she can learn the language just like mom! Rebeccah Love '08 Rebeccah Love has been busy writing, directing and producing her first feature- length film (Fortescue) in the middle of the Haliburton woods. Deeply inspired by Mr. Tucker's classes on Alice Munro and Margaret Laurence, Mrs. Clarke's theatre classes, Mme Kurkcuyan's showing of Cinema Paradiso, and M. Pilaprat's emphasis on existentialism and social engagement, Rebeccah's latest project focuses on misogyny and psychosis. Grateful to receive funding from the Canada Council for the Arts, Rebeccah cherishes all her memories from TFS and looks forward to sharing news about her film's premiere in the near future.
