LA P'TITE ÉCOLE OUR CAMPUSES VIEWBOOK 41 Jardin d'éveil Hafez has been a resounding success since it opened its doors in 2010. As a French- language learning program, it is licensed by the Ontario Ministry of Education and meets the standards of the Child Care and Early Years Act. Jardin d'éveil Hafez operates independently of the federal child care program, focusing on delivering a comprehensive educational program for children aged 2, including assessments and report cards. Based on the Reggio Emilia approach, a child-centred educational philosophy, it offers beyond what is expected of a traditional childcare: a stimulating learning environment with a wide range of activities designed to cultivate independent exploration, problem-solving and critical thinking abilities. See page 12 for more information about our age 2 program. JARDIN D'ÉVEIL HAFEZ At La p'tite école, students are fully immersed in a language-based environment where they are taught exclusively in French. This concentrated approach allows children to quickly embrace French and actively apply their evolving language skills each day. Research underscores the significant cognitive benefits of early new-language acquisition, which extend well beyond childhood. La p'tite école provides a nurturing atmosphere. Here your children will be absorbed in a French world; they'll even have the opportunity to take a trip to Paris with their parents in Grade 1! As they journey through these years of discovery, students gain an educational foundation in a rich bilingual and multicultural world. They can look forward to events such as La Guinguette, where families enjoy food, music, games and activities in a French atmosphere, or Marché du Jardin d'éveil, where parents join their children in an interactive market.
