VIEWBOOK 11 THEIR FIRST DIPLOMA: THE BREVET At the end of Level II (Grade 9), our students write a series of exams in French known as Brevet des collèges, in subjects including French, math, history and geography, and sciences. Marked externally by French examiners, these are the same exams taken by their peers at French schools around the world. Each year when results are announced, TFS students consistently surpass the average, even though French is not the first language of 90% of them. The Brevet Diploma, presented to our students by the Consul Général of France in Toronto, not only acknowledges their exceptional command of the French language and curriculum but also serves as excellent preparation for their IB exams.
