VIEWBOOK 25 FINDING THEIR FIT UNIVERSITY COUNSELLING Will it be engineering or law? Arts or political science? At home or abroad? We all remember how tough it can be to make those choices in our teenage years. To help our students navigate their opportunities, university counselling is positioned as a core aspect of their TFS education. Our dedicated team of university-specific counsellors guides them through the application process and interview preparation when it comes time to apply to postsecondary institutions in Canada and internationally. By this point, our students will already be very familiar with this team. In fact, our university counsellors are introduced to our students in Level I (Grade 8) and regularly have classes with them going forward, to empower them in their decision-making in finding the program that best suits their aspirations. Having the right support can make dreams come true. Achieving big academic goals may seem intimidating, but with the support of our University Counselling team, our students have a dedicated community by their side. Aneesh Kapoor '20 is living his dream after being accepted into the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. He's now in his fifth of six years, with a keen interest in pursuing pediatric medicine. Thanks to the personalized guidance from our team, they presented him with tailored options that matched his strengths and interests, setting him up for success and empowering him to apply with confidence.
