VIEWBOOK 33 Seeing the trees through the forest Recently our Globe Club and Climate Action Team collaborated to collect a bonanza of acorns in our ravine to seed future trees in our community and protect Toronto's tree canopy through the seed diversity program. Real citizens take action. Like many of his peers, Khalil sought opportunities to engage in advocacy in his early years at TFS. Joining the Model UN club ignited his passion for global issues, which shaped his worldview. A University of Oxford graduate, Khalil continues to demonstrate advocacy and leadership as a sustainable investor, while giving back as a volunteer with Client Earth, a non-profit that leverages the law to drive meaningful environmental change. "My time at TFS played a pivotal role in shaping both my educational and professional journey. By participating in and leading the student council, I learned how to work with different groups of people with different interests—something that is critical in my work today and in my position on the board of a family planning charity." OUR ALUMNI CAN RELATE Khalil Mair '16 Growth Equity, Generation Investment Management
