It is a different world than when TFS opened its doors in 1962. Then, we prepared students to confront challenges on a national level. Now, we are teaching students to tackle issues in a global context. In this fast- changing world, students need to be equipped differently than they have been in the past. That is why at TFS we are building the future now. It has been 20 years since we last constructed new buildings on our campuses. Thanks to the generous support of our community in 2023-2024, we made promising strides in realizing our Master Campus Plan. In 2025, we will break ground on world-class spaces, STEAM-focused classrooms, a new gymnasium and unparalleled learning opportunities that children need today so they can lead their world tomorrow. INTRODUCING L'ATELIER The four-storey, 37,490-square-foot L'Atelier will build connections and introduce interior and exterior pathways that unite our campus and student body. It will be a whole school space, where students from every branch will benefit from a multipurpose auditorium, a wing devoted to music, design, green and multimedia studios and more. The building will be a living laboratory that will model regenerative architecture and sustainable design principles to help students learn from and with the environment. L'Atelier amplifies the school's dedication to education for today's world. From technology to the environment, from wellness to artistic expression, we can't wait to open the doors to the future at TFS. The most significant addition to TFS in over two decades, L'Atelier promises to become a dynamic hub that will break boundaries and facilitate experiential learning through the state-of-the-art spaces within and the applied lessons students take with them into the world beyond. The French word atelier can be translated to the English words workshop or studio, particularly in reference to spaces used by artists and designers. It is an apt name for a space where TFS students will unleash their creativity, apply design thinking principles to complex problems and projects, and come together in the spirit of collaboration to inspire one another towards their full potential.
