2024-2025 IMPACT REPORT TFS 2024-2025 IMPACT REPORT 6 A NEW CHAPTER BEGINS AT WEST CAMPUS Joy, pride and gratitude filled the air as the TFS community gathered to celebrate the official groundbreaking of the new Athletic Wing at the West Campus—an important milestone in the Can't Wait! Campaign, the most significant campus expansion in over 20 years. Generosity that Builds the Future The ceremony was also a tribute to the donors whose vision and generosity brought this project to life. From long-time supporters to new champions, their belief in the future of TFS was evident. The Sprott family, early advocates of West Campus, whose name graces the school library as well as the servery in La Terrasse at the Toronto campus, provided a foundational gift that helped launch the project. Families like Wallace Wang and Lily Meng spoke passionately about the importance of giving back. "TFS nurtures citizens who love, think independently and dream big. We're proud to support that," they shared. The Bechara family was also recognized for their pivotal support. "Five years ago, we made our gift because we already trusted TFS with what is most precious to us—our kids," they said. "We knew the school would do something incredible." The Kaneff family, whose philanthropic support totals more than $1 million, brought intergenerational meaning to the celebration. Anna- Maria and Kristina Kaneff, joined by their children and their mother Didi, shared the personal story of their late father, Ignat Kaneff, who built his first home just blocks away from the campus after arriving in Canada from Bulgaria at age 14. "Helping build a space that bears our name is a tribute to our family's roots and a gift back to a school that has given us so much," they said.
