Volunteer of Distinction Stephanie Thompson e spirit of TFS comes alive through its volunteers. eir energy, creativi and generosi help deliver an exceptional education, create unforgeable experiences for students and families and strengthen the ties that bind our communi. From organizing events and championing school spirit, to fostering meaningful connections among parents and contributing to fundraising and legacy building, the impact of our volunteers is immeasurable. Each year, we recognize one individual whose contributions truly go above and beyond. Someone who embodies the passion, commitment and core values of TFS, and whose service leaves a lasting legacy. In 2025, we were proud to present this honour to Stephanie ompson. Stephanie's connection to TFS began nearly two decades ago, when her son Kyle entered pre-kindergarten at La p'tite école. "I wanted to be part of my child's educational journey from day one," she recalls. What began as a role as class representative soon evolved into a long- standing commitment. Over the years, she served on the Junior and Senior School Branch teams, organized community- building events such as dances and new family receptions and lent her professional photography skills to countless school events—from Terry Fox Runs to community celebrations and graduations. "Whether working quietly behind the scenes or stepping up to inspire others, Stephanie leads with creativity, energy and a deep love for our school," says Head of School Norman Gaudet. "She is a trusted collaborator, dependable, enthusiastic and always willing to lend a hand." A TFS FAMILY THROUGH AND THROUGH As a mother of three TFS students, Stephanie has had many opportunities to contribute to the school community. Her eldest, Kyle, graduated in 2021 and will complete his dual degree from Western University this year after studying abroad in Paris, reconnecting with his French roots. Her daughter Taylor, a 2024 graduate, is now studying at McGill University and, like her mother, has found ways to give back—serving on the Alumni Executive and most recently as an alumni summer intern with the TFS Foundation. The youngest, Christopher, is currently in Level IV and continuing the family's strong connection to the school. By Hailey Eisen 56 ENTRE NOUS
