A dedicated TFS alumnus and parent, Dr. Charles Knapp
has been actively involved with the TFS community for
decades, serving on the Alumni of Distinction Committee
and contributing to major fundraising campaigns. He is a
staff anesthesiologist at North York General Hospital,
where he has worked since 1994 and an Assistant
Professor at the University of Toronto Department of
Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine. At North York General,
he directs Continuing Medical Education and mentors
residents in the operating room.
Charles earned his MD from McMaster University and
became a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and
Surgeons of Canada in 1993. He has served on numerous
medical committees, including the College of Physicians
and Surgeons of Ontario's Quality Assurance Committee.
Passionate about global health, he volunteers as a Regional
Anesthesia Specialist with Operation Walk Canada,
providing hip and knee replacements in Guatemala.
Blending professional interests with personal passions,
Charles also organizes international anesthesia
conferences combined with cycling tours, reflecting his
love of travel and sport.
