3 | 2024-25 Impact Report
My favourite class this year was music because it helped
me express myself, improve my skills and understand
music on a deeper level. I had the chance to perform a
solo at the spring concert, which was a big step for me
because I've never performed saxophone in front of such a
large audience. It definitely took courage, but I knew it was
something I wanted to push myself to do. My music teacher
and my friends supported me through the process, helping
me prepare and build my confidence. In the end, it was
amazing. I learned that I'm capable of more than I thought,
and that taking risks —even when they're scary—can lead
to moments I'm really proud of. To me, an international
education means learning about cultures, ideas and
perspectives beyond our own, and understanding the
importance of being open-minded. Since joining the
scholarship program, I've felt more motivated, confident
and focused in both academics and music. It's helped
me believe in myself and work toward my goals. After
graduating from TFS, I hope to study aerospace engineering
and have a positive impact on the future.

the milestones they've achieved
and the ways an international
education is opening their eyes to
new possibilities.
