10 SCHOLARSHIP REPORT Our child has grown immensely in academic confidence, intellectual maturity and responsibility. He has become more focused and thoughtful while continuing to challenge himself and pursue his ambitions. This year, we noticed he broadened his interests through art, developing his creativity and patience in ways that complemented his passions for debate, business, politics and history. Intellectually, he remains highly engaged and curious. Emotionally, he has become more mature and independent. Serving as class deputy helped him understand that leadership is not only about taking initiative, but also about listening, earning trust and contributing to a community. This program has given our child access to a challenging and supportive environment where he can grow academically, develop his leadership skills and learn alongside motivated students and dedicated teachers. As a family, the most significant change has been seeing him become a more confident, considerate and motivated individual. We are grateful for the opportunities this scholarship has provided and for the person he continues to become. — Parents of a Level I student, enrolled 2024 We are exceptionally proud of the confident, well-rounded young lady our daughter is becoming. This scholarship has had a profound impact on our family by creating opportunities that would otherwise have been inaccessible, allowing her to continue flourishing at TFS. This year, she reached noteworthy academic milestones, demonstrating significant intellectual growth, maturity, resilience and increasing self- belief. Outside the classroom, she remains engaged through musical performances, volunteering at school events and participating in the Black Student Union. In these roles, she consistently demonstrates a dedication to both personal development and community involvement. Our child represents the school with distinction, modeling the values of excellence and inclusivity. Her strong friendships and positive presence remain a vital part of school life. — Parents of a Level III student, enrolled 2022 TFS has allowed our child to step into areas of leadership and development that she would have previously shied away from. Watching her prepare for the DECA competition and seeing the way she beamed at the end of it showed us how much she has grown in her ability to embrace challenges head-on. TFS is shaping her into a future leader and we are grateful for this privilege. To our family, the scholarship goes beyond assisting us financially. We have also learned so much as parents, through parenting workshops, school events and resources that enable us to be a stronger support system for her. We would not be able to afford the robust educational experience that our child has at TFS without this scholarship and for that we are grateful. We are extremely appreciative of the calibre of education, experience and exposure. It has also helped us develop a love for the French language and an appreciation for the way it can transcend barriers. — Parents of a Level III student, enrolled 2023 Overall, we are impressed by our daughter's growing independence, self-awareness and engagement with both her learning and the world around her. She has started exploring topics beyond the classroom, often seeking additional information out of a genuine desire for knowledge. We have also noticed that during family discussions, she demonstrates thoughtful understanding of a wide range of topics and discusses them in an informed way. She takes a more active role in planning her future, particularly when making decisions about course selections. In terms of emotional maturity, she is able to navigate sensitive or complex topics with respect and empathy. This scholarship has meant a great deal, as it has provided our daughter with the opportunity to learn in a place where she is supported by staff and classmates alike, challenged to reach her full potential, and encouraged to explore her curiosity. As a family, we have gained confidence knowing that she is part of a community that truly cares about her growth and well-being. — Parents of a Level III student , enrolled 2022
