TFS is fortunate to have so many engaged volunteers who work in conjunction with staff to raise school spirit, foster our sense of community and help advance the mission of the school. One such volunteer is Sally Peterson, recipient of the 2015 Volunteer of Distinction award. Her list of volunteer leadership roles since joining the TFS community in 1999 is impressive: past member of the TFS Board of Directors, past member and Chair of the TFS Foundation, past Chair of the Marketing and Communications Committee, and past member of the Advancement, Nominating and Governance, and Endowment committees. Sally's generosity has also had an impact at TFS. In addition to being ongoing annual supporters, her family made leadership gifts in support of the Building on Excellence Campaign and the construction of the Play & Sports Field at the Toronto campus. With three children having attended TFS, Jeremy (Class of 2010), Robyn (Class of 2012) and Hayley (Class of 2015), she was also instrumental in supporting and growing the Class Fund program. While her children are now alumni, her involvement with TFS has not ended. This past spring, Sally joined the newly formed Past Parents' Committee, whose objective is to help keep former TFS parents connected to the school.
