The safety of students with a medical condition such as asthma is a shared responsibility of the
school, family, health care providers and community partners. The policy outlines the school's
commitment to students with asthma.

Sanitation Practices
Our Sanitary Procedures and Policy ensures that all necessary precautions are taken into
consideration to minimize the spread of germs.
Toys are cleaned before and after playing. Staff follows set procedures to clean and sanitize all
equipment, toy storage, food contact surfaces and other surfaces.

Safe Drinking Water
TFS complies with the requirements of the Safe Drinking Water Act, 2002, O. Reg. 170/03,
where applicable.
Emergency procedures
Should there be any reasons to evacuate the building, the children of Jardin d'éveil will be
escorted to La p'tite école building, 101 Mildenhall Road or in case of inclement weather.
PK Students in Toronto will be escorted to the Junior School, 296 Lawrence Avenue East.
PK students at the West Campus follow the procedures in place for that location. The primary
evacuation site is Queen of Heaven School, 1198 Alexandra Ave., and the secondary evacuation
site is Allan Martin Senior PS, 1390 Ogden Ave., Mississauga.
TFS must carry out all instructions from the fire department, public health department or other
regulatory bodies.
A monthly fire drill ensures that staff and students are aware of safe procedures in the event of
a fire. We also conduct lock-down drills on a regular basis.
Smoke-free Policy
Smoking is prohibited on school premises.
