How did your relationship with the school change through the process of organizing the conference and the conference itself? Laura B.: I believe that what makes TFS a great school is the community of people here. I think that before this conference, I didn't realize that so many people were dedicated to this school. Seeing everyone step up to support this conference made me see the school in a whole new light; teachers would stop me in the hallway to ask how they could help, Grade 6s were some of our most dedicated volunteers, families from all areas of our community stepped up to take in travelling delegates. The sense of community was unsurpassed by anything else I've ever experienced and it truly made me see TFS in a new way. 106 dedicated TFS student volunteers 46 committed staff advisors How did this experience change you? Rebecca A.: This whole experience made me understand how to better lead, direct and communicate with a large group of LQGLYLGXDOVLQDQHIIHFWLYHDQGHIÀFLHQW manner. I believe it has developed my time- management, organizational, collaborative and leadership skills. What was your proudest moment? Nathan D.: When we were all eating dinner RQWKHÀUVWQLJKW0LKDLOWROGXVWRVWRSHDWLQJ and look around. He said: "Guys look at this, everything going on tonight wouldn't have been able to happen without us. We did this!" Mihail, Rebecca, Tamara Bolotenko, Dean of Student Affairs, Judith Gorry, Director of Student Life, Laura and Nathan. 19 TFS ENTRE NOUS 2018
