Q+A FEATURE Making the What specifically inspired you to pitch for the opportunity to host the 2017 conference? Laura B.: I had an incredible time at the 2016 CAIS national student leadership conference in Calgary and I was honestly changed by what I had experienced. I had pushed the boundaries of my comfort zone to a point where I was extremely motivated to make a positive impact on my school, my community and the world. Applying to host this conference was my leap of faith – I knew that if we could impact just one person strongly enough to make them want to inspire someone else, it would create a positive chain reaction of kindness and inspiration.
