Parents' Handbook 2019 – 2020 9 ARRIVAL, DISMISSAL AND ABSENCES EARLY ARRIVAL La p'tite école, the Junior School and West Campus Student safety is a top priority at TFS. Students should not arrive on the premises before 8:00 a.m., 8:15 a.m. at the West Campus, when supervision begins, unless they are involved in a supervised program. It is imperative that younger children not be left alone in school buildings or on school grounds. If you arrive early, please stay with your child until 8:00 a.m., or they should go to the daycare. Children are not allowed in the classroom before the teacher arrives. Weather permitting, students have outdoor recess from 8:00 to 8:25 a.m. Senior School Students should not arrive on the premises before 7:00 a.m., as there is no supervision, unless they are participating in a supervised school activity. ARRIVAL Children should arrive promptly at school as per the stated arrival times. Parents (or a designated caregiver) should accompany younger children to the classroom. Once students are familiar with the premises, they should be progressively encouraged to enter the buildings unaccompanied. Parents are not permitted to enter classrooms once lessons have started. Please always report to the reception or attendance desk once classes have commenced.
