THE BEST
SCENARIO
How does TFS ensure it is following best
practices throughout the school and is
continually improving? One way is through
its membership in the Canadian Accredited
Independent Schools (CAIS), an association
that promotes educational excellence. To be a
member, TFS must meet 12 national standards
and, every seven years, undergo an 18-month
rigorous accreditation review. Last year was our
turn to shine.
During winter 2018, TFS submitted an in-
depth internal assessment and was thereafter
visited by a CAIS Visiting Committee, comprised
of 12 leaders from schools across the country.
This committee spent four intense days at TFS,
meeting with over 250 board members, teachers,
staff, students, parents and alumni, experiencing
all aspects of TFS. We are proud to share the
highlights of their feedback with our community.
FEATURE
"The CAIS accreditation process has been
of immense benefit to our community.
It provided a wonderful opportunity to
comprehensively review our programs
and operations. The Visiting Committee's
report indicated that our vision, mission
and values have set us on an exciting path
that is destined to take the school to new
heights of success."
