Admissions • TFS has a clear definition of what constitutes a mission-appropriate student and makes it public for prospective families to see. Finance • There have been significant improvements in its internal control environment. Physical Plant, Health and Safety • Traffic and parking are actively managed. • TFS provides exemplary food services to their staff and students. Academic Program • The school has a well-developed and clearly articulated plan for excellence in learning and teaching. • The Strategic Plan is articulated throughout the academic program. • TFS is committed to the learning of all students. • A holistic approach is used to ensure students' success. School leadership • The leadership team implements the Strategic Plan well. • Communications of the mission, vision and values are effective. School and Community • The school enjoys extensive engagement and involvement of parents in volunteerism. • Communication strategies are centralized and effective. We also thank the students, Board Members, faculty, staff, parents and alumni who participated in this accreditation and worked diligently to showcase our school. Clear Mission, Vision and Values • TFS has a well-researched, ambitious and inspirational 2016 Strategic Plan: Engagement. • The new TFS mission, vision, values, motto and strategic pillars are clear and powerful. Co-curriculum and the Learning Environment • Substantial resources are allocated to the development of citizenship. • The dedicated Eco-Leaders are effective. • The Learning Forum's team provides excellent student support services. • The faculty and staff strongly model the vision, mission and values. Governance • The Board shows improved effectiveness. Commendations Recommendations The Visiting Team highly commended TFS in a range of areas, with examples noted below. The Visiting Team also made recommendations to contribute to the improvement of TFS, including that: "What stood out the most was the enthusiasm and excitement around the strategic plan, new school leadership, and an open-minded culture of reflection and responsible citizenship...
