Life at TFS
ARIA was born in Tehran and later attended an
international school in Dubai. His family moved to Toronto
and enrolled him in TFS for Grade 6. Aria speaks Farsi,
English and French.
Aria enjoyed everything a TFS education can offer a
talented, outgoing student, from sports and music to
leadership opportunities. Aria is equally at home on the
soccer pitch or the stage. He played soccer, basketball
and Ultimate Frisbee, and participated in team sports
every term. In addition to playing piano and guitar, Aria
learned the saxophone in Level I, eventually creating his
own jazz ensemble called Saxophology. The ensemble
played at talent shows and charity events. Being elected
First Citizen/Premier Citoyen, however, shaped his
perception of leadership and ultimately influenced
his career goals. For his long-term service project, Aria
volunteered at the Children's Garden at the Evergreen
Brick Works. He also volunteered at New Circles and
shared his love of music by volunteering for Holland
Bloorview Rocks in support of music therapy.
"The diversity of the
school is one of its
greatest strengths.
My teachers and
classmates came
from such a range
of backgrounds,
bringing different
perspectives and an
international
outlook to TFS. "
