What does TFS mean to you?
M K
We came to Canada eight years ago
from France, so TFS was really our first
contact with Canada. Our kids joined
the school halfway through the year
and they felt incredibly welcomed.
Their classes had all written to them
and befriended them before they even
joined. It can be stressful when you're
a kid moving to a different country in
the middle of the year, when you don't
speak the language. But when it ends
up being something you look
forward to because you feel so
welcomed, that's wonderful.

Our children have had to move a
lot, and we didn't realize until they
were teenagers what a challenge
it was for them. I think, in a way,
TFS helped them find stability,
and to understand themselves
better and gain confidence.
We are grateful for that.
How have your kids benefited from
being at TFS?
C K
It's a special school. TFS is good at
teaching kids how to be independent
but also how to reach out for help
when they need it. They give the kids
the tools to manage difficult situations,
which during the pandemic has been
especially important.
Max and Coralie Koeune have seen the
value of a TFS education for their three
children. It has inspired them to give
back, so that even more students can
benefit from the TFS experience – now
and in the future.
