I think that the school is deliberate
about going beyond preparing
kids for university or learning to be
autonomous. They also want the
kids to think more broadly about
what it means to be a citizen. That's
an important part of the education
offered. And I think that makes the
school forward thinking.
You have been generous supporters of
TFS. What motivates you to give?
C K
TFS has done such a great job with
our three kids, we thought, if another
child could benefit from the same
experience, it would be great. That's
why we first chose to help fund
scholarships. It was really a family
decision because our kids were really
supportive. They know it's a very
special school and they wanted to help
give other kids the same educational
opportunities they had.

When we did our first tour of TFS,
before the kids joined, Coralie and
I were looking at the facilities and
saying, "Can we join too? We love it."
We never had a school like this. Well,
that was thanks to the parents who
have donated to the school before us,
whose kids are not even in the school
anymore. So, with our recent donation,
apart from supporting scholarships,
we earmarked support
for improving
the campus infrastructure. We felt
that, as parents, we have a responsibility
to make it happen for the next
generation, even if our kids might
not see the full benefits of it. We
can't just wait and hope that others
will do it.
