Duration of activities depends on children's interest and attention spans. Please note that Jardin d'éveil and PK students must be kept separate from other grade level children during active play, as per CCEYA regulations, even if they are siblings. Children are to be picked up between 4:30 and 6:00 p.m. When a child is picked up after 6:00 p.m., additional fees are billed to the parents ($20.00 per five-minute increment per child). Communication about My Child Your child's teacher is always available to answer any questions you may have. You can contact her/him through email; please allow a 48-hour response time. You will receive all information regarding your child's day through the Tadpoles App. You will be asked to communicate to the educator any relevant information that may be useful, such as how your child slept overnight/eating change/mood, etc. You will receive pictures by email and/or via the Seesaw platform to allow you to see what is happening during the day. Important dates Several meetings are formally scheduled during the year to monitor your child's progress: – Orientation Day - you'll get a sense of the daily routines and a better understanding of the program. o Jardin d'eveil - September 3 or 8 o PK - September 3 – Parent Information session (will be held virtually by the teachers) : o Toronto campus; ▪ Jardin d'éveil - Friday, September 3, 2-3:00 p.m. ▪ PK parents - Tuesday, September 14, 6:30-8:30 p.m. o West Campus; Friday, September 10, between 6 and 7 p.m. – October: Conseils de classe (team meetings to discuss each child's progress with the educator, principal, vice-principal, resource teacher), during which - an action plan and/or virtual meeting with parents is initiated, if required. – Parent-Teacher Interviews (format TBC): o Toronto campus; Tuesday, November 2, or Thursday, November 4, from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m.
