Chacun a sa place! ENTRE NOUS Transitioning to the Senior School can be an exciting yet challenging milestone for our students. To ease the jitters, Chacun a sa place (CAP), a modified version of the internationally recognized Where Everybody Belongs middle school program, offers a safe and supportive environment for Grade 6 students through mentorship, workshops, check-ins and group activities. At the centre of this program are carefully selected Level II and III students, known as CAP leaders. Similar to peer mentors, these student- citizens embody TFS' core values of integrity, discernment, respect and engagement as they help guide the new-to-the-Senior- School students through their first year. Trick-or- Treating for Every Body TFS' mission is to develop our students not only as ambitious learners, but also as individuals and citizens. When West Campus student Siena P. realized that one of her young neighbours could not celebrate Halloween the same way she could because a disability made it too challenging for him, she felt that it was time to look at removing or finding ways around barriers, some as simple as a few front steps, so that trick-or- treating would be accessible and inclusive for all. TFS was proud to support Siena's family's Treat Accessibly initiative, a movement that can potentially benefit 400,000 children in Canada identified as having a disability that may prevent them from trick-or-treating. Poetry Week at La p'tite école La Semaine de la poésie à La p'tite école Last March, students at La p'tite école took part in a rich week of poetry in celebration of "Le Printemps des poètes." This program, recommended by the French Ministry of National Education, saw our youngest students join other French schools worldwide in learning about and enjoying the art of expressing emotions and ideas in verse, through listening to, reading and writing their own. 10
