4 T F S F O U N D AT I O N 4 T F S F O U N D AT I O N A JOINT MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIR AND THE PRESIDENT OF TFS FOUNDATION Although we started the year with public health restrictions still in effect, our community spirit stayed strong. Parents shared heartfelt messages of gratitude with teachers and staff as part of our holiday appeal, and the commitment of our parents shone through with the success of our registration appeal, which brought in over $1.2M. After a challenging winter, the spring brought a welcome burst of energy. The TFS Foundation team was able to return to campus after March Break, following several months of working from home, and the school was finally able to resume some of the traditions that bring us together. In May, it was an immense pleasure to gather with members of Le cercle des grands mécènes at the newly revamped La Terrasse to thank our community of leading donors for their support in person. We were also thrilled to celebrate the commitment and contributions of Volunteer of Distinction Azin Tabrizi-Holder '94 at the Merci aux bénévoles event in June. By the end of the year, we were finally able to come together with our wider community at Kermesse and other events. One of the highlights was joining families at La Guinguette, where we celebrated the great contributions of former principal of La p'tite école, Mme Hafez, by naming the Jardin d'éveil program in her honour. We are proud of our community for helping make last year yet another outstanding success through these amazing accomplishments: Sander Grieve Chair, TFS Foundation Board of Directors Président du Conseil d'administration de la Fondation TFS Dear Friends, It was a year of extremes. From the lowest of lows, when lockdowns followed by harsh winter weather kept us homebound, to the highest of highs, when we were finally able to come together as a communi for end-of-year festivities. Despite the ups and downs, your dedication and generosi not only helped keep the TFS communi united, but allowed us to accomplish great things. • We raised over $4.467M last year – the largest annual amount in TFS' history! • Substantial investments have been made in the future of our school, including a $1M gift. • Over $1M was raised during registration – for the fourth consecutive year! • The Mirna Farah Hafez Tribute raised over $1M in her honour. • The Class of 2022 Fund Committee had the highest participation rate in many years. They did a truly incredible job! Thank you all for making these achievements possible! Your continued support helps ensure that students leave our doors equipped with the knowledge and insights to be good global citizens. This year brings a myriad of opportunities to connect with our alumni and parents. Among these: In April, we look forward to celebrating our 60th anniversary at our Diamond Soirée, to be held at the iconic El Mocambo. Later this spring, we are thrilled to finally be able to honour our graduates at the first in-person alumni reunion in four years. We look forward to seeing you soon!
