Classes and clubs to promote climate literacy, environmental guardianship and nature connectedness at TFS. This is the first of several future programs that will be designed to develop ecological citizenship. This sets the stage for future capital developments including a new regulation-sized gym and air conditioning. This strengthens our Robotics program and supports STEAM. Two dedicated computers were purchased to support the First Tech Challenge (FTC) robotics competition, along with related software: SolidWorks for computer- aided design (CAD) and computer-aided engineering (CAE), Android Studio to create Java programs for competition robots and Vuforia (augmented reality technology), which includes image detection and tracking capabilities. $392K granted in support of student financial aid, including student bursaries and the Entrance Scholarship Program.
