Déterminée et passionnée, voilà deux qualités qui décrivent très bien NATALIE du moment qu'elle les met au service du changement. Elle a été préfète chargée de la promotion de la voix des élèves et corédactrice en chef de Limited Edition, le journal de l'École secondaire. Au cours de sa dernière année, elle a également été élue à l'un des deux postes de Premier Citoyen, occupant ainsi le plus haut niveau de leadership de l'école pour les élèves. Dans le cadre de ses fonctions de préfète et de corédactrice en chef, elle a acquis une fine compréhension du fonctionnement interne de l'école et des questions d'ordre social, qui a nourri son action de Première Citoyenne. En collaboration avec son co-Premier Citoyen, elle a œuvré à la suppression des titres « head boy » et « head girl » (capitaine de l'école) dans les associations d'élèves afin de favoriser l'inclusion des personnes s'identifiant comme non binaires. Natalie a également figuré parmi les premiers membres du comité de l'école pour l'équité, la diversité, l'inclusion et la justice. Sa plus grande fierté, confie-t-elle, a été de « façonner l'orientation du comité au sein de l'école » et d'« en constater les effets sur les élèves, les parents et la culture scolaire ». Determined and passionate are two words that describe NATALIE, as long as change maker is at the centre of both. She was the student voice prefect and co-editor of Limited Edition, the Senior School newspaper, and in her last year, she was elected as one of the two First Citizens, the highest student leadership position at the school. As both prefect and co-editor, she gained more awareness of the inner workings of the school and developed a broader perspective on social topics, which influenced her as First Citizen. With her co-First Citizen, they worked to eliminate the titles "head boy" and "head girl" from student government, making the positons inclusive to those identifying as non-binary. She was one of the first members of the school's Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Justice (EDIJ) student committee. According to Natalie, she is most proud of "shaping EDIJ within the school and its effect on students, parents and the school culture."
