30 Parents' Handbook 2024– 2025 to all students from JK to Level V for both campuses. Note that this program is part of the tuition for students in Jardin d'éveil Hafez and PK (Toronto and West Campus) and therefore is provided at no additional charge; parents will be able to select from a varied and age appropriate menu. Parents of students from JK to Grade 5 can register for the program through the Parent Portal (Veracross). Fees are payable at the start of each term. Parents must ensure that all allergies are listed in the child's medical information form in the Parent Portal(Veracross). Refunds are provided if there is an absence of more than five days as long as the absence is communicated to the branch office. Lunch can be selected for the entire term and payment is made via the student account. Each menu cycle is reviewed and approved by a registered dietitian and encompasses the best balance of child-friendly nutritious meals. WEST CAMPUS Lunches are delivered to the classrooms and served in the gym for Grades 4 to 7 (cafeteria style). SENIOR SCHOOL All Grades and Levels have access to La Terrasse to make menu selections during their respective lunch periods. La Terrasse, a full-service cafeteria managed by Chartwells Food Services, offers a variety of hot and cold healthy meal options including salads, premium deli sandwiches, Grill Works and World's Fare hot entrées. All purchases are cashless and can be made through their TFS ID card and will be charged to your child's account. Parents can contact billings@tfs.ca for cafeteria purchases to get a detailed list of items purchased by their child. PIZZA LUNCH In addition to the menu of hot lunch options, the Parents' Association offers pizza lunches approximately once per month. This fundraiser has tremendous annual participation and proceeds directly fund the Principal's Wish List. The cost for students who participate in the pizza lunch program is billed to the student's account. LOCKERS JUNIOR SCHOOL Lockers are issued to students in Grades 2 to 5. They are not to be locked. WEST CAMPUS Lockers are available for Grade 2 to 7 students. From Grades 2 to 5, they are not to be locked. In Grades 6 and 7, students who provide their own locks must give the combination to the Branch Administrator, since the school must have access to all lockers in an emergency. SENIOR SCHOOL All locks will be provided by the school. Students will receive their locker assignment along with their combinations on Welcome Day. LOST AND FOUND Please label your children's uniforms and other belongings. At the end of each term, unclaimed items are donated to a charity and unclaimed uniform items are given to the Parents' Association Used Uniform Sale. STUDENT ID CARDS Replacement cards are issued at the Attendance Office upon request. The student's account will be charged $25 for a replacement card, once processed. Temporary cards are provided, but tracked and habitual requests for temporary cards will be subject to review.
