LA P' TITE ÉCOLE Leading the way This year's TEDxTFS Youth was a powerful showcase of Senior School student leadership, curiosity and global-minded thinking. Under the guidance of Level IV student organizer Kaitlynn L. and Head of School Norman Gaudet, this entirely student-driven event amplified youth perspectives on the theme "The Essence of a Changing World." From September auditions to the final spotlight, a dedicated team of students and teachers worked tirelessly to create a platform that challenged audiences to think deeply about the world we share. Speakers from Grade 6 to Level V explored timely and thought-provoking topics, from AI's role in education and environmental action to the evolution of language and the ethics of technology. Their talks reflected the diverse passions and perspectives of a new generation ready to lead. By engaging with complex global issues and sharing bold ideas, these young speakers embodied what it means to be compassionate citizens of the world and future leaders shaping its course. Our Grade 1 students at La p'tite école had a chance to step into meaningful leadership roles this year through our new Grade 1 Ambassador program. Eager to take on responsibility, these young learners rose to the challenge. From the first Open House to the final assembly, they showed just how capable they are—welcoming prospective families, guiding visitors during classroom events, helping younger students and supporting monthly assemblies. Along the way, they built confidence, honed their communication skills and developed a strong sense of responsibility. These experiences not only deepened their connection to the TFS community and prepared them for the Junior School, but also planted the seeds for them to grow as compassionate global citizens and future leaders.
