ONCE TFS, ALWAYS TFS As the Chief Data and Analytics Officer, Wealth Management at BMO, Vanessa Yeung helps lead data strategy and innovation for the wealth business in Canada's financial sector. Her path to executive leadership came after 17 years as a corporate lawyer—a reflection of her adaptability and curiosity. Vanessa credits TFS with nurturing both qualities, especially her ability to dig deep when challenges arise and a love of big ideas. "Learning at TFS expanded my mind beyond a linear way of thinking," she says, "and engaged me to probe, think more abstractly and revel in new ideas." Beyond her professional accomplishments, Vanessa is deeply engaged in community work. Prior and current philanthropic projects include being on the gala committees for the Pediatric Oncology Group of Ontario, Boost for Kids and the Toronto Public Library Foundation (TPLF). She currently serves on the board of TPLF and contributes to Branksome Hall's iCAST campaign as a member of its cabinet. Vanessa's connection to TFS comes full circle through her son, Matthew, who began at the school in JK and graduated in 2025. By this fall, Matthew will have begun his studies at Vanderblit University. TFS alumni are leaving their mark around the world— pushing boundaries, challenging the status quo and shaping the future in imaginative ways. From Paris to Vancouver to Bay Street, we spotlight three remarkable graduates whose journeys reflect the values and global outlook at the heart of a TFS education.
