HALIFAX Alumni reunited in Halifax to reflect on their time at TFS, share stories about their paths since graduation and reminisce on the values and friendships that still tie them to the school. "When I received an invitation to a TFS gathering in my hometown of Halifax, I was curious and pleasantly surprised. The reunion at the Old Triangle was a lovely evening. I'll admit, it was a bit surreal realizing I was the same age as the Head of School and decades older than most of the other alumni! Still, it was wonderful to hear stories about TFS today and reflect on what it was like in my time." Karen Harper '87 Alumni Around the World BOSTON In Boston, alumni from different generations came together in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Early TFS graduates were introduced to younger alums at the start of their careers, sparking intergenerational conversations and informal mentorship. "It was a pleasure to attend the Boston reunion. My experience at TFS dates from such a long time ago—I began in 1965, so it was great to catch up with a younger generation of students, hear their stories, learn about their perspectives and provide any advice that might be relevant to their own experience. As an architect currently practising throughout continental Africa, designing health care, research and education facilities, TFS laid the foundation for my life trajectory, giving me the confidence to project out into the world and navigate easily across perceived cultural and language barriers. I'm so happy to see that this ethos continues with the younger alumni I met. More than ever, we need a new generation with the right tools and global perspectives to address the many tough problems affecting us all." Johan (Jay) Verspyck '77 TFS alumni form an incredible global network and continue to stay connected to each other and to the school that helped shape them. From Dublin to Boston, Halifax to Hong Kong, our alumni community remains strong, vibrant and engaged. This year, members of the TFS team travelled across continents to reconnect with graduates, hear their stories and celebrate their shared TFS history. These visits weren't just about catching up, they were about deepening relationships, understanding how TFS has shaped lives across generations and geographies and creating moments of belonging for alumni who may live thousands of kilometres from campus, but still carry TFS with them. These cities were chosen deliberately, as they are places where clusters of alumni now live, study or work and where there's a strong potential to foster connection. From longtime graduates to recent alumni just finding their footing, each visit underscored the power of community, conversation and shared experience. No matter where life takes them, alumni always have a home at TFS. 66 ENTRE NOUS
