JUNIOR SCHOOL Character wins the game LA P' TITE ÉCOLE Budding with purpose At La p'tite école, our youngest learners proved that athletic achievement isn't just for the big leagues, it's a way to build skills that will stay with them for life. Throughout the school year, students from JK to Grade 1 took part in skill-building activities that balanced fun with purpose. Rock climbing encouraged calculated risk-taking, skating offered a way to spend joyful moments with family, swimming built essential safety and life skills and biking encouraged independence and confidence on the move. These activities structure the early stages of improving motor skills while also laying the groundwork for healthy habits and developing the hand-eye coordination essential for future sports students may choose to pursue. At the Junior School, athletics took a value-driven turn and the results were nothing short of inspiring. Instead of the traditional Most Valuable Player model, each team celebrated four players who best embodied TFS' core values: integrity, discernment, respect and engagement. By doing so, it emphasized character over competition and ensured every student saw the purpose of sport. Coaches and peers alike recognized players who lifted their teams with leadership and effort. Athletics at the Junior School not only serve as a foundation for students beginning their journey in sports, but also as an extension of the classroom where TFS values have an area to shine. 7 TFS
