MERCI 6 | TFS – Canada's International School What an exciting year for the school, as we see so many projects come to life, projects that will benefit students for years to come. At the end of the 2014-15 school year, we had raised $8.2 million. I am delighted to advise that, with the continuing support of our community, we have now surpassed $8.5 million and are on track to reach our $9 million goal by June. Included in this total, in addition to gifts directed to the three priorities, are funds that have been directed to the campaign's greatest needs. As a result of the generosity of TFS families, as well as event proceeds from our 2013 50th Anniversary Gala and the 2014 Carrousel des nations, the majority of campaign greatest need funds has been allocated between the Learning Forum and Entrance Scholarship priorities. This enabled the school to accelerate and complete components of the Learning Forum renovations in 2015 and to launch the new Entrance Scholarship program in time for the 2016-17 school year. In this home stretch of the campaign the focus is threefold: first, to reach our fundraising goal for the Learning Forum, so that we can begin renovations at the Senior School as soon as possible, with the goal of opening this new centre in 2016-17. The final project phase will be a special Learning Forum centre at La p'tite école, which is scheduled to be completed as part of a lower level renovation project over the summer in 2016. Our second priority is to continue to engage the TFS community to support Program Enrichment for the 2016-17 school year. Donations to Program Enrichment each year provide essential funding for academic and co-curricular enhancements over and above what is normally provided through school operations. Finally, as we work to reach our goal for entrance scholarships, a priority will be to seek ongoing financial support from our community to sustain and grow this important program. It is an honour to chair this visionary campaign, which will benefit TFS students in so many lasting ways. Thank you to everyone who has supported the campaign to date, and I encourage members of our community who have not yet made a gift to help us reach our goal for the benefit of all TFS students. Message from the Campaign Chair Sherry Evershed
