TFS has developed policies and procedures according to Toronto Public Health guidelines and requirements. Please click on the links below to view the full policies: > Exclusion of Sick Children (Updated with Covid 19) > Infection control and control measures > Management of Common communicable diseases > Sanitary Practices > Screening Procedure During the pandemic, additional handwashing requirements will be implemented for all children and staff. They will be expected to wash their hands upon arrival to the centre, after outside play, before and after eating, after toileting, after diapering, after cleaning, after wiping noses, and intermittently throughout the day vigilant practice. Hand washing using soap and water is recommended over alcohol-based hand rub for children and when hands are visibly soiled. Children and staff wash their hands after they use the bathroom, before eating, after outdoor play, and anytime their hands get dirty! Injury / Accident Report/ Serious Occurrence Policy Staff is trained in First Aid regularly as well as in Epipen procedures. – Any incident that affects the well-being of students and staff is documented. If an incident occurs, parents/guardians are notified. A copy of the report completed by our staff is given to parents. – Should an injury/accident require medical attention, we will make every attempt to notify the parent/ guardian or designated emergency contacts. If we are unable to do so, we will act in the best interest of the child. – In the event of a serious injury, the procedures outlined in the Serious Occurrence Policy will be followed to report to the relevant authorities. Immunization As required by the CCEYA, parents/guardians of a child registering in a licensed childcare program must provide one of the following to TFS prior to registration: ● An up-to-date record of their child's immunization ● A medical exemption letter completed by a qualified medical practitioner that clearly states the medical reasons why the child cannot be immunized (if applicable).
