Participation on a casual basis can be arranged by filling in an application form, available from a child care employee or from your child's Branch Office. Temporary child care services will be billed to your account. It is vital that all pertinent information, such as allergies, emergency telephone numbers and names of persons allowed to pick up the child, be given at the time of registration. HOURS During the regular school year: Early Morning 7:30 a.m. - 8:30 a.m. Early Afternoon/Étude (study hall) 3:35 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. 3:45 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. at the West Campus Late Afternoon/Extended Étude (study hall) 3:35 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. 3:45 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at the West Campus Senior School Étude (study hall) 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. LATENESS We ask parents to pick up children on time. Lateness in collecting your child will result in an extra charge as well as a review of your child's status in the Before and After School Care program. For any information regarding the programs, please contact your Branch Office or child care staff. EMERGENCY SCHOOL CLOSINGS The school remains open at all scheduled times, barring a general power failure or other condition that would make it unsafe to operate. If you suspect the school may be closed, e.g. for extreme weather, please first visit tfs.ca or call the school to hear a general message; or tune into CP24 and Breakfast Television, radio stations 99.1, 104.5, AM 680 and any CBC French radio station. Emergency messages will also be posted on the branch websites or sent via email, when available and appropriate. BUSINESS OFFICE - FINANCIAL MATTERS STUDENT RE-REGISTRATION Re-registration is an online process that opens towards the end of January. The registration deadline for current students returning to the school for the 2019-2020 academic year is February 18, 2020. TFS gives new applications for siblings of children currently enrolled at the school priority in terms of space availability, provided their applications are received 14 months before the beginning of the school year. Student re-registration is subject to the Registration Guide's Terms and Conditions. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE Assistance From TFS For Enrolled Students TFS provides short-term financial assistance for students in need who meet established criteria. The funds are available to students who have been enrolled at TFS for one year or more, usually in the Senior School. External assessments to determine eligibility for financial assistance remain confidential and are conducted independently by Apple Financial Services. An online application must be submitted to Apple Financial by November 1, 2019, in order to be considered for the 2020-21 academic year. Visit www.applefinancialservices.ca for more information. French Government Bursaries Available For French Citizens Children of French citizens living in Canada may be eligible for a French government bursary.
