8 T F S F O U N D AT I O N OUR BOARD MEMBERS SEND STRONG MESSAGE OF SUPPORT After years of working together to define our vision for the future of TFS and taking our first steps in making it a reality, we are ready to enter a new phase of planning and execution. The TFS Board and the TFS Foundation Board have both demonstrated strong support for our plans. In fact, every member of these two groups has made a charitable gift to support them. Cumulatively, both boards contributed over $6M. According to Cathy Yanosik, President of the TFS Foundation, this support plays a vital role in our ability to move forward. "Without charitable support, independent schools cannot evolve. Tuition fees supply critical operating funds that allow us to hire the best teachers and staff, and to turn the lights on in classrooms every day. Philanthropy is what allows us to build for the future and to support important initiatives that wouldn't be feasible otherwise," she explains.
